The Fuente de los Cosecheros is a historic fountain located in the Market Square, next to the Church of Santa María la Mayor in Colmenar de Oreja. It was the first fountain built within the town centre in 1918 and was financed by the Sociedad de Cosecheros. This fountain has four spouts, three of which recirculate the water from the adjacent watering hole.
The construction of this fountain was a great advance for the residents, as it avoided long journeys to collect water. It is an emblematic place that reflects the importance of water in the daily life of the community.

It is named after the Society of Harvesters who financed the construction of the fountain in 1818. It was the first in the centre of Colmenar de Oreja to provide the population with drinking water without having to go to the fountains on the outskirts.
