Located at the head of the Vallone dell'Urtier (a stream that gives rise to the famous Lillaz waterfalls), at 2,526 m, immersed in nature among immense expanses of floral and animal species, between the Gran Paradiso National Park and the Mont Avic Regional Park, the Sogno di Berdzé refuge is a structure located along the ALTA VIA 2 of the Aosta Valley.
Unfortunately, however, it has temporarily ceased activity, it is necessary to continue to the Misérin Refuge or have a packed lunch to have refreshment, but the journey is certainly worth it, the landscapes that accompany the gaze are enchanting.
To take the route, from Cogne, you need to reach Lillaz at the camper parking area and take the road on the left that indicates path 10. The tour is of medium difficulty, it winds along a carriage road for the first part completely asphalted, then alternating stretches of asphalt and dirt, you encounter some challenging climbs, but the surface is almost all easily passable, if you have a bit of training and technical ability.
Priceless view for light and solitude, traveling this stretch in the late afternoon.
Worth noting: on the route, a little before the Refuge, in the middle of nowhere, there is a charging station for e-bikes, if you are lucky 🍀 you will find the right attachment for your 🚲
Applause to Cogne for the no small commitment in high 🏔️
