With an area of 32.5 hectares, the Boitsfort racecourse is located between the Chaussée de La Hulpe and the Drève du Caporal, in the municipality of Uccle and on the edge of the municipality of Boitsfort. It is one of the forest's entrances, as provided for in the Sonian Forest Management Plan. So come and stroll on the old track where the riders used to set off! Don't worry: there are no more horse races today, but you can enjoy various leisure activities in a natural setting, in close contact with a forest rich in biodiversity. The site is under development and new activities will be offered, for young and old.
Currently, you will find there: the track, lawns and meadows, golf, various activities at the Paris Village, catering options in the surrounding area and that's just the beginning!
The Hippodrome de Boitsfort site is a place where city and forest meet. Humans, fauna, flora… It is a haven of peace alongside the hustle and bustle of the city. The location of a forest on the edge of a large city is both a great opportunity and a great responsibility.
Did you know: After the Rouge-Cloître, the Hippodrome de Boitsfort is a new “welcome gateway to the Sonian Forest” in Brussels, in an inter-regional network of several gateways and access points such as Groenendael and the Tervuren Park in Flemish Brabant and the Solvay Regional Estate in La Hulpe in Walloon Brabant.
