The 'Beech Mountain South Ridge Trail' connects the 'Valley Trail' with the summit of 'Beech Mountain'. The path through mixed forest to the summit is well maintained, partly with steps made of rock. Near the summit there are views of the Atlantic to the south and 'Mansell Mountain' to the west.
At the beginning of June we hiked this path from the south to the summit of 'Beech Mountain' when we set off on a circular hike around the mountain from the parking lot at 'Echo Lake'.
