Checkerboard 1 on the west wall of the tower is a very indistinct checkerboard stone with a cross on its upper right half. To the left of the cross is a bowl-shaped semicircle with a vertical line at the top and below it a circle with a cross (or crosses). The latter is thought to be a consecration sign for the consecration of the church;

Checkerboard 2 also on the white wall of the tower is a perfectly regular checkerboard with alternating high and low squares. Parts of the stone are badly worn;

Checkerboard 3 is a very long and distinctive stone but not a "true" checkerboard stone, it is diamond-shaped;
