A little piece of new Mülheim an der Ruhr. The city harbor offers the leisure captains of the Rhine and Ruhr new opportunities to moor. For the "White Fleet" and other major river cruise ships / ships, a so-called "Steiger" on the promenade shore is now available all year round for landing. The station is of course called "Ruhrpromenade" and is barrier-free. The food is well received and invites you to linger. The restoration of the historic towpath directly on the water has also been successful. Events are increasingly taking place on the harbor square, a unique location with a grandiose, almost Mediterranean atmosphere in the summer. The promenade will be further developed in the next few years and the area between the former railway bridge, the future Radschnellweg Rheinische Bahn and the Konrad-Adenauer-Brücke will be over-planned.

The Ruhrauen are directly accessible from the city. From there you can hike via Kettwig to Werden and on to Lake Baldeney along the river.

"MannMannn, the people of Mülheim are really knocking one out!", This footbridge and the entire urban design of the Mülheim river landscape elicits an appreciative surprise from friend KC🌞.
I, too, like the original footbridge extremely well, as it leads cleverly, partly over the water of the Ruhr, past the eye-catching "Wasserburg", directly under the "Three Graces" on the Schlossbrücke, into the green heart of the Stadthallengarten and offers everything diverse views of the wide, dammed water landscape of the river.
Well done.
