The listed Evangelical Lutheran parish church of St. Mary is located in Rittersbach, a part of the municipality of Georgensgmünd in the district of Roth (Middle Franconia, Bavaria). The church is registered as an architectural monument in the Bavarian monument list under monument number D-5-76-121-104. The church belongs to the parish of Rittersbach in the deanery of Schwabach in the church district of Nuremberg of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria.
The predecessor building of today's hall church dates back to 1441. The choir tower has been preserved from it, which was raised in 1840 to accommodate the tower clock and the bell cage, and was covered with an eight-sided bent helmet. The neo-Gothic nave was renovated in the west in 1887 after the old one had become too small. The church furnishings date from the time of construction. The high altar and the two side altars were combined to form a group.
