The section of the North Country Trail from Pry Road to Branchton Road passes through State Game Lands Number 95, an area managed by the Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC). Known for its diverse habitats, "The Glades" features a variety of wetlands, including sedge-cattail marshes, alder-willow shrublands, palustrine forests, and standing dead tree swamps. The area is primarily used for hunting, trapping, and fishing, so hikers should wear plenty of orange during hunting seasons. Staying on trails only minimizes the risk of encountering deer ticks or poison ivy, and packing bug repellent is important because deer flies can be bothersome in the summer. It is a more remote area to hike in, and you will most likely find yourself on your own in these woods.
