It was probably at the end of 2017 when a beaver started damming the Saynbach between Wölferlingen and Freilingen, creating a new biotope for a variety of bird species, amphibians and insects.
Since March 2020, the environmental association Naturschutzinitiative has been providing information on the formation and diverse inhabitants of this biotope on boards on the banks of the pond.
