Accessible from both Oberstdorf and Kleinwalsertal, the Fiderepasshütte is located at 2,070 meters exactly on the Austrian-German border. The DAV hut is managed and offers overnight accommodation with up to 160 beds. The climb requires good fitness, sturdy shoes and basic alpine experience.

A great place to stop for day tours, the food there is great and the staff friendly and helpful. 👍🏻 Also very suitable as overnight accommodation for the Mindelheim via ferrata. 👍🏻

Anyone who is up here has, depending on the beginning of the ascent, a strenuous path behind them. But the view up here is worth the effort.

The DAV hut is right on the border between Germany and Austria, you can also spend the night here. You can find more information about this in the link below.

Food very good. For overnight guests: great drying room, but only cold water, no showers (only now ??). Lots of people there. No drinking water; you have to buy.

The Fiderepasshütte is located on the border between Germany and Austria and is one of the few mountain huts in the Allgäu Alps that you can use a mountain railway to help you climb. It can be reached relatively quickly and easily via the Kanzelwand and Fellhorn lifts. This is why it is often chosen as the first stage destination for mountaineers who do not have a full day available on the day of arrival.
