Shimmering light on the facade of Rouen Cathedral. Who hasn't seen it, the famous series of paintings by Monet, created between 1892 and 1894? Taking up the idea of light on the facade, Rouen has been offering freely accessible nighttime illuminations after dark for many years. The impression is fantastic, although some of the images this year (2024) are disturbing: a cathedral going up in flames or collapsing. Other images in the show show animals in motion, including the famous sports elephant Ele and a cheetah jumping across the width of the facade in slow motion. Some images make the facade sparkle and glitter, reminiscent of Monet's light.
