As a design school, the Bauhaus revolutionized artistic and architectural thinking and working worldwide and laid a crucial foundation for modernism. The "Bauhaus Dessau" foundation was established in 1994 with the aim of preserving the heritage of the historic Bauhaus and shaping its future. The house is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
