          The Sagrada Familia is a monumental basilica designed by Antoni Gaudí and has been under construction for over 140 years. The building is a masterpiece of Catalan modernism and Gothic, combined with Gaudí’s unique, organic style.

            The Plaça de la Sagrada Família is a landscaped square in Barcelona, located in front of the Passion Façade of Gaudí’s famous basilica. Inaugurated in 1928, it was designed by landscape architect Nicolau Rubió i Tudurí to provide diagonal views of the basilica while avoiding direct frontal perspectives. Interestingly, the site was once used as a football field in the early 20th century and later became home to fairs and markets in the 1960s and 70s, which led to its decline.

            Today, the square is a peaceful green space featuring children's play areas, sculptures like Míliu, and a rich variety of over 200 trees that enhance the surroundings of the Sagrada Família.
