The house between the rocks is a former guardhouse of the Vauban defense system. It consists of just one room, which has a stone vault and a fireplace. Apart from the impressive and particularly photogenic view from the lake side, both access routes are worth seeing: the open access route leads past a "face rock", the other access route is a natural rock tunnel. Behind the house is a village that has been rebuilt as an open-air museum and is freely accessible. There you can find out about village life in times gone by and there is also a nice bistro.

The "house between the rocks" at Ménez Ham tells the story of a time long gone. Once built as a guardhouse for Vauban's defense system, it now sits quietly between massive granite blocks that protect it from the wild elements of the coast.
