The first station building was constructed in 1877 along the opening of the Riga-Tukums railway line. The existing station was built im 1922 and was designed by Arthur Moedinger.

The Ķemeri railway station seems like a silent witness of days gone by, embedded in the green landscape and with a touch of nostalgia in the air. The time-honored architecture of the station recalls a time when Ķemeri was a famous spa town and people came from near and far to enjoy the healing springs and the fresh forest air. Today the station receives fewer travelers, but the quiet rush of the trains and the crunch of the gravel under the rails tell of countless stories that began here.
