Laraway Mountain stands at 2,795 feet along the Long Trail near Belvidere, Vermont. Even if you're not a thru-hiker, this is a great summit on a pretty, quiet section of the famous trail. At the summit of Laraway there is a summit sign and marker in the rock, but it is mostly treed in. If you are tall, or stand on your toes, you can just see Mansfield over the branches. Just before the summit (about 10 minutes, give or take), however, is a fantastic overlook on a rock ledge that provides far better views. From the overlook you can see Whiteface, Mount Mansfield and the other surrounding peaks over the lush valley.
