In Åsens by you can travel back to 1900 to discover what life in the countryside in Småland was like

Here you can explore the area on your own, stay overnight or take part in various activities, as well as experience farming with real horsepower and farm work including housekeeping in the old days. The food on the table is influenced by the seasons and the availability of locally produced raw materials, just as it was in the past, and old Swedish breeds of livestock graze in the historic agricultural landscape during the summer.

The cultural reserve with an attached farm museum, exhibitions and playgrounds for our youngest visitors are open all year round and free of charge. Various activities are offered throughout the year, such as courses in handicrafts and farming or family days with demonstrations.
