The Cap Negre viewpoint in Jávea is one of the lesser-known, yet particularly impressive, viewpoints along the coast. From this small, rocky headland, a sweeping view opens up over the deep blue Mediterranean, the steep cliffs of the Costa Blanca, and the offshore island of Portitxol. The contrast between the cape's dark rock faces—which give it its name "Negre" (black)—and the intense turquoise waters pooling in small coves below is particularly striking. On a clear day, the panoramic view extends as far as Cap Prim and far out to sea.
The place appears quiet and untouched, away from the hustle and bustle of tourists, and is perfect for a short stop to take in the nature and spectacular coastal scenery in peace and quiet—especially atmospheric at sunrise or sunset.
