The saddle between the Ludwigshöhe and the Parrotspitze is the centre of an arena of the highest mountains in the Alps. The Matterhorn peeks cautiously out from behind the Lykamm, while a triumvirate of the Dufourspitze and Zumsteinspitze, next to the Signalkuppe, lies opposite it, white-clad and awe-inspiring. Far to the southwest, almost inconspicuous, you can catch a glimpse of the great Mont Blanc in its white cloak in some places. What is impressive, however, is the here and now and the humility of the little man among many giants.
