The rectory, located north of the church, is laid out like a manor or farm, as the rectory was usually linked to agriculture. The restored rectory, built from 1754 to 1755 in half-timbering, has remained largely unchanged in its original structure. The bricks came from the monastery's own brickworks in Lähnwitz. According to the monastery office's account book, the last craftsmen's bills for the construction of the Kogel rectory and widow's house were paid in 1757. The rectory with the small half-timbered barn covered with reeds also includes the former rectory garden with old fruit trees.

Since the end of the 1970s, the rectory has served as a regional church youth center, where teenagers and young adults with a church background meet to enjoy leisure activities with music and workshops on various thematic areas. In the years around 2002/03, the meeting, which had become a kind of festival, attracted more than 1,000 participants. Since the Evangelical Lutheran Regional Church of Mecklenburg was absorbed into the North Church in 2012, the rectory has belonged to the Lohmen parish and is used as a "self-catering home" from spring to autumn for retreats and by leisure groups.
