The Dutch Kremlin, also known as Kunsttuin Winkel, is a garden with a collection of follies on the Limmerschouw in Winkel in North Holland. The structures were designed by retired sheet metal worker Ger Leegwater, who has been working on them since he was forty. The follies are made of all kinds of materials, such as construction waste, tiles and curbs. Some buildings are ten meters high; Leegwater himself devised methods to hoist the building materials up. Because of the many towers and domes, the appearance can be compared to that of the buildings at the Moscow Kremlin, which explains the name.
