My previous encounters with Hundertwasser have been rather cold, the respective buildings seemed too inconsistent to me. The Waldspirale is made of one piece, an architectural dream that also has something from Gaudí. The individualization of the individual elements is driven to excess here. Each of the more than 1000 windows of the Waldspirale is unique and is not arranged according to a grid. There are different handles on doors and windows in every apartment. Even the gutters have decorations (see the picture with the diving duck).
