Pretty big cemetery - on the outskirts of the city - very interesting. In the cemetery are e.g. Reich President Friedrich Ebert, conductor and composer Wilhelm Furtwängler and several Nobel laureates buried. There is also a designated Jewish cemetery on the grounds - several marked circular trails lead across the area.

Largest cemetery in Heidelberg and the surrounding area (approx. 15 ha). A Jewish cemetery is also integrated in the cemetery area.
There are 4 interesting signposted circular routes (heidelberg.de/site/Heidelberg_ROOT/get/documents_E-2029619990/heidelberg/PB5Documents/pdf/67_pdf_bergfriedhof_rundwege.pdf), past impressive tombs.
Well-known personalities are buried here: the first Reich President Friedrich Ebert, the conductor and composer Wilhelm Furtwängler, the scientists Carl Bosch and Robert Bunsen, the inventor Felix Wankel, the sociologist Max Weber, and the poet Hilde Domin.
