A border runs through the middle of Villingen-Schwenningen. Men in uniforms from Baden and Württemberg have taken up positions at the barrier. Back in the days when the Grand Duke and King ruled, it went to Zollhaus yesterday: The Gockel-Gilde collected customs. Many motorists reacted in surprise when they said: "According to the ordinance of the King of Württemberg and the Grand Duke of Baden, we have to collect a road toll for the passage." But most of them were generous, as the association donated the money to the double-city hospice Via Luce. And remembered the story with the action: In 1736 the first customs post of the Kingdom of Württemberg and the Grand Duchy of Baden was built between Villingen and Schwenningen, which gave the place the name Zollhaus.

It's a dream to run in late autumn when the leaves turn brightly. The idyllic lake can be comfortably circumnavigated in an hour. There you can also see some species of birds, such as the kingfisher and ducks. There are some resting benches with a view of the lake to rest.
