Relatively new rest area in a great location. The three large trees behind it are very impressive.

Not far from the Aarquelle you can linger and enjoy the meadow landscape. The spring in the middle of the meadow area doesn't appear overly impressive, but the saying "everything has to start small" applies here too. At almost 50 km, the Aar is not particularly long. But here is the beginning of the river that flows into the Lahn near Diez. The water from the Aar finally reaches the North Sea via the Rhine.
