The theme of the exhibition is an event that took place at the end of August 1941. At that time, Juminda (a peninsula in northern Estonia on the Baltic Sea) was the scene of one of the greatest human catastrophes of the Second World War on the Baltic Sea during the Soviet evacuation of Tallinn. On August 28 and 29, near Cape Juminda, German and Finnish units sank at least 52 Soviet ships, particularly with mines. Up to 25,000 people lost their lives.
