It's amazing, you wouldn't believe that there was a lot of flight activity here if you didn't know it.

A lake was created with great effort and became known as Lake Buga (officially Riemer See). The lake is 800 m long from east to west, 150 m wide, 10 hectares in size, up to 18 m deep and contains 100,000 m3 of water.
It is an elevated groundwater lake that can also be used for swimming. Because the water level in the area is too low and fluctuates strongly seasonally, a concrete basin was created for the lake into which three pumps constantly pump 40 liters of water per second.
To ensure that the flowing groundwater does not build up on the concrete wall of the lake and flood basements in residential buildings, among other things, a drainage pipe laid under the lake. There is a bathing beach on the east bank, while a silting zone with aquatic plants has been created on the west bank, where a pedestrian bridge leads over the lake.
