The terraced garden at the Kössern manor is a jewel in the village of master builders. One of the founders of German classicism, Friedrich Wilhelm von Erdmannsdorff, sketched out the first plans for the Wörlitz Garden Kingdom here.
There are four different garden worlds on the 2 hectare site:
1. the former farm courtyard with the high plateau
2. the terraced garden bordering the Mulde floodplain
3. the fountain garden reconstructed according to historical models and
4. the overgrown park with obelisks
