The consecration site, consisting of 32 stone monuments, was built in 1936 to celebrate the 75th anniversary.
Founding festival of the Fuchsturm Society and the 14th federal festival of the Thuringian mountain, castle and forest communities. At the same time, it offers a unique geological overview of the main types of rock found in Thuringia, which represent the periods of the past geological eras.

1921 - Foundation of the association on the occasion of the dedication of the tomb for the Thuringian poet August Trinius on July 31 in Waltershausen

1925 - Consecration of the federal banner

1936 - Inauguration of the sanctuary with 32 memorial stones of the member communities of the federal government on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Fox Tower Society Jena on the Windberg

1945 - Forced dissolution of the federation by the Soviet military administration - club life comes to a standstill

1996 - On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the consecration site on the Windberg, a first meeting of the mountain communities takes place, seven clubs were represented

2001 - Reestablishment of the Bund on July 29 in Jena and on July 31 in Ruhla and Waltershausen
