Langzhong Ancient City is located at No. 33, Langshui Middle Road, Langzhong City, Nanchong City, Sichuan Province. It is located on the northeastern edge of the Sichuan Basin and the middle reaches of the Jialing River. It is an important military town of the ancient Ba and Shu Kingdoms. It is known as the hometown of Chinese Spring Festival culture and one of the four ancient cities in China. [1][7]
The total area of the Langzhong Ancient City scenic area is 4.59 square kilometers, and the core area of the ancient city is 2 square kilometers. There are 8 national key cultural relics protection units such as Zhang Fei Temple, Yong'an Temple, Wulong Temple, Tengwang Pavilion, Guanyin Temple, Baba Temple, Dafo Temple, and Chuanbei Road Gongyuan; there are 22 provincial cultural relics protection units such as Shaojiawan Tombs, Wenbi Tower, Shishiguan Cliff Sculptures, Leishen Cave Cliff Sculptures, Niuwang Cave Cliff Sculptures, the former site of the General Political Department of the Red Fourth Front Army, Huaguang Tower, and Langzhong Wen Temple.
