The Plaza del Carmen in Fuente el Fresno is a prominent place of interest in this town. It is dominated by the Town Hall building, whose clock is a distinctive feature. The square was recently remodeled and has two fountains, one at each end, while in the center is the town's coat of arms.
The name “Plaza del Carmen” comes from the church of the Santísimo Cristo de la Piedad, which occupied almost the entire length of the square during the first half of the 20th century, approximately 1918. I hope you enjoy your visit! 😊
