Apparently this mill has had a rather turbulent past in recent decades in connection with lands, properties, sales and other situations. Whatever the case: you can visit it via the small 'slow path' that was given the name Toon Verbraakpad. And under the name Toon Verbraak it says 'He had the dilapidated Buitenmolen restored with much mill love' and the year 1996. I couldn't get there via the main road to the café (with parking). Annual leave until 18 September.

It is a stone tower mill from 1822 (originally a post mill) and there are so many information boards and educational resources on site that I will limit myself to some photos and - of course - Molenecho's - where the turbulent history is mentioned and you can also learn more about Toon Verbraak: molenechos.org/molen.php?AdvSearch=205

Also take a look at the board about the painting "Kermis aan de molen" by Marten Melsen that was part of an exhibition about Marten Melsen and the Great War.
