The Harburg City Park is a popular park of the 1920s, which included the surrounding landscape in demanding terrain with its typical design. A well-developed network of paths of more than 16 km in length opens up the park in many different ways. Particularly noteworthy is the 3 km long loop around the Außenmühlenteich. If you go from the riverside paths to the hilly forest areas, you will be rewarded with a variety of beautiful views of the water areas.

The city park of Harburg has many facets. On Mühlendamm you will find on the west side of a lakeside terrace with neugestylten seating and can enjoy the view over the outer mill. Next to it the restaurant "Lighthouse", very well renovated with possibility of stopover. On the east side opposite the "boathouse", pedal boat rental and also, somewhat rustic, a refreshment stop. Below is the bathing landscape "Midsommerland", this has replaced the old swimming pool.
