The beautifully situated village with around 500 inhabitants is located on the Mies between Stribro and Plana.
The townscape is dominated by the Peter and Paul Church and the castle.
The church was built around 1180. It is one of the oldest churches in western Bohemia.
The beautifully decorated village square leads to Svojsin Castle.
In the 14th century it was a castle complex, and in 1723 it was converted into a palace.
The castle and the castle park were completely renovated in 2013.
The statue of St. John of Nepomuk and the war memorial stand on a large pedestal at the entrance to the castle.
You should plan a visit to the town if you are passing through this beautiful area on the Mies. However, it is advisable to inquire about the opening times of the castle.
