The Rum-Szombathely railway line was opened in 1894 and operated railway traffic between the two settlements until 1974. After its closure, the terminus in Rum was turned into a memorial, the heating house and the well were renovated. The works of the locally born sculptor István Rumi Rajki are also presented. On the other side of the square created together with the roundabout is the sports hall named after him, in a well-kept beautiful environment. The bicycle path made to Kám passes by the industrial monument, an excellent resting place.
