Anyone who also wants to climb the Ještěd (1012 m) from the Neisse cycle path will find a relaxed route here with little traffic and a moderate gradient (compared to the road ascent from Liberec).
After the adventurous crossing of the Neisse by transporter bridge, the route goes up the picturesque Christofsgrund (Kryštovo Údolí) to the Kriesdorfer Sattel (Křižanské Sedlo, 576 m).
From there, follow a well-ridable forest path with a great view up to the Auerhahnsattel (Tetřeví sedlo, 769 m, also called Ausgespann/Výpřež).
Then the final climb to the Jeschken awaits you.
The climb is spread over a total length of 14 km and is therefore comparatively easy. However, you will still have to make a certain amount of effort if you want to climb the highest peak of the Ještěd Mountains. 😄
You can then either ride down the road towards Liberec and back onto the Neisse cycle path, or you can continue to follow the ridge path of the Ještěd Mountains. This will then be a bit bumpier, however...
