Between Schloss Dürnkrut and Schloss Jedenspeigen we cycle on historical ground. The legendary battle between Rudolf von Habsburg and King Ottokar of Bohemia took place here in 1278. It is considered to be one of the largest knight battles in Europe and ended with a victory for Rudolf, which heralded the 640 year old rule of the Habsburgs in Austria.
