The Église Saint-Maxime is a village church built in the 16th century and still in active use today. It contains historically protected furnishings and is part of the cultural heritage of Escalles, set in a scenic setting on the Opal Coast. The church boasts a valuable collection of historical works of art. Among the most important are liturgical objects made of gilded bronze, including a monstrance, a chalice, a ciborium, and altar candlesticks. It also includes a carved confessional, a pulpit, and sculptures—including those of St. Sebastian and the Virgin Mary. The furnishings are complemented by several religious paintings, including those depicting the apparition of the Virgin Mary at Lourdes and the Miracle of the Rose of St. Germaine.

The war memorial
is located in the cemetery next to the church: the Monument aux Morts (Monument to the Dead) for the fallen soldiers of the wars of 1870/71, 1914–1918, and 1939–1945.
It stands at Place de la Mairie 3 and symbolically commemorates the local victims of all three conflicts. Directly in the adjacent churchyard are the graves of the French soldier Maurice Guilbert (1940), who died in World War II, and the grave of a British Marine (Arthur John Callow), near the main path of the parish church.

The church of Escalles is known as the Church of Saint Maximinus (Église Saint-Maxime). The church was rebuilt in 1884.
Architecture: It is a simple church with a pre-built tower. Stones from the old church were also used for the portal.
