The two train stations in Vigo are about 400 meters apart: Vigo-Guixar down by the water (on the wide Ria de Vigo bay), Vigo-Urzáiz up on the slope, about 30 meters higher. A new connection has been created by a (fast-moving!) elevator up to a futuristic-looking, largely floating circular bridge, which rests on the elevator tower on one side and connects to the newly designed upper station of Vigo-Urzáiz on the other. The structure ("Proxecto Halo"), which can be seen from afar, is very impressive. A walk along this circular bridge offers wonderful views of parts of the city stretching along the slope and up to the east and west, as well as more to the north of the "lower town" with the wide bay. Another special feature is the view of a huge painted house facade with a cat in front of a steep coast. Below the circular bridge on the western side is the bus station.
