Since 2010, the fishing village of Breskens has had a 14-meter-high platform made of transversely installed wooden beams on which twelve giant red penguins silently look out over the local marina.

The artwork was created by Belgian artist William Sweetlove. The picket fence represents constructions that sometimes cannot withstand the power of nature. The maritime artwork has international appeal and leaves an unforgettable impression on visitors to Breskens.
