Gustav Nonnenmacher (born April 21, 1914 in Stuttgart; † November 2, 2012 in Worms) was a German sculptor. The work of the artist, who has lived in Worms since 1951, mainly comprises bronze sculptures in sacred spaces, fountain sculptures in public spaces and sculptures made of various materials with which he has taken a socio-political position since the 1970s.

In 1968, on the occasion of its 75th anniversary, the power plant Rheinhessen AG donated the movable Worms Wheel of Fortune on the Obermarkt, which was designed by the Worms sculptor Gustav Nonnenmacher. After the destruction in the succession war in 1689 Worms never regained the meaning that it had before. Until the industrialization and the leather factory of the family Heyl Worms sank into insignificance and was trumped by the up-and-coming city of Mannheim. Unfortunately, Worms is always advertised for tourism as a Nibelung city, but offers so many actual historical events that are in the shadow of the legend.
