The New Kaiserberg consists of excavation of the Phoenix Lake and protrudes 40 meters above the water surface. No wonder you have a great view from up here. For example on the Florianturm or the Westfalenstadion. It's best to do a little sprint up to the "summit", then you have earned a short break and a view up here.

An originally unplanned landfill offers the best view of the entire PHOENIX Lake. It is named after the neighboring Kaiserberg Neuer Kaiserberg, Kaiserberg II or also Phoenixsee-Halde. The (old) Kaiserberg is a natural hill and has been partially dismantled over time. Excess excavated soil from the lake is stored here on the new landfill.
