The two towers of St. Mary's Church can be seen from afar. The church, which is impressive from the outside, should definitely be visited when you are in Stendal: the carvings are very impressive. The church houses, among other things, a wooden organ gallery, under which there is an astronomical clock, a hand-carved choir screen with the apostles and a Marian altar.
