The former Tanjungsari station has now been converted into a drying area for residents.
Adapted from Wikipedia: Tanjungsari Station is an inactive train station located in Tanjungsari, Tanjungsari, Sumedang. The station, which is located at an altitude of +855 m, is de facto included in the Bandung Asset Area II.
Historically, this station was opened at the same time as the opening of the light rail railway route Rancaekek–Tanjungsari which was inaugurated on February 13 1921. The aim was to reach plantations in the Jatinangor area.
This station and the line itself were decommissioned in 1942 because they were dismantled by Japanese romusa workers. However, some of these routes still exist, such as the Ring Bridge, Citeureup Bridge and this station. Now this station building has been converted into the Tanjungsari ABRI Retired Military Association secretariat office.
