The Celestial Capital Peak is one of the three highest peaks of Huangshan.
It has an elevation of 1,810 meters. Other maps show 1,829 meters. A strenuous hike takes you to the summit.
For me, it's the most beautiful but also the steepest peak.
I wasn't able to visit the highest peak, Lotus Peak, because for years, one of the two peaks was/is closed for renovation/restoration.
Fortunately, the Celestial Capital Peak was open for me.
My tour guide didn't want to go with me, and I had to sign a waiver stating that I was undertaking the tour at my own risk.
The reason is that you shouldn't attempt this lofty trail unless you have a complete head for heights.
