Punta semaphore from the top of the imposing promontory at 344 meters above sea level, silently dominates Golfo Aranci and much of Gallura. A sort of now extinct lighthouse, whose position means that it is visible from long distances even on the least clear days. Inaugurated on 11 March 1890, it became an integral part of the system of lighthouses and signal lights of the Royal Navy, with the task of communicating and providing information both for passing ships and for those on the route to Olbia.
