The lakes cover an area of 19 hectares. They are fed by the water of the Prejtské stream, which springs on the slope of the Beňová rock at an altitude of 550 m.a.s.l. Beňová skala is located in Trenčianská vrchovina, which is a subdivision of Strážovské vrchy. A tributary of the Prejtský potok is a smaller tributary called Prejta.
It is about two lakes. At the smaller one, smaller cabins are built on one side, perhaps fishermen built them here... From the cabins there is a view of the White Carpathians, but also the Strážovské vrchy (only partially visible from the lakes).
The second lake is larger, oblong in shape. In the center there are about three trees that seem to grow out of the water. And it was these trees that gave the lakes an interesting look. The ponds are separated from each other by a bridge.
