This gorge is a colorful mosaic of forests, ravines, rocks, natural springs, waterfalls and cascades and offers a unique natural landscape of exceptional character. Alpine vegetation elements and sub-Mediterranean species, as well as rare and endangered animal and plant species find their habitat here. In the stream bed you can find the wonderfully colorful conglomerates that have been beautifully polished by the white water.
The numerous types of rock in which various fossils, mussel shells and snails as well as various bryozoan colonies and also fish have been found are also a treasure trove for those interested. After about 3 km the valley becomes a little wider again and we are at the end of the gorge. There is also a small rest stop at the water adventure world for children. Here you can have something to eat, have a drink and enjoy the wonderful view of the surrounding mountains!
