Santa Susanna City Council has approved the renaturation project for the sea front at Les Dunes beach. This initiative is part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, financed by the European Union with Next Generation funds.
As the project points out, the Dunes beach has a more biodiverse state because it has not been humanized by hotel tourism. Thus, with this project we want to protect the embryonic dunes and expand the protection zone in order to encourage natural development. In this way, the project aims to eliminate vehicular traffic from Les Dunes beach, reduce the width of the pedestrian promenade and incorporate well-ordered beach service areas to prevent users from stepping on the dune action areas .
The project states that the execution period for this work will be 4 months and has an estimated budget of less than €500,000.
