Sommerhausen is a beautiful little town located directly on the Main. There are numerous towers and old half-timbered houses worth seeing in the town. There are also numerous opportunities to stop off at one of the great restaurants.

Sommerhausen on the right bank of the Main - a very beautiful, quiet and relaxing place with many small restaurants, great accommodation and lots of flair. Also worth mentioning is the beautiful panorama trail directly in the vineyards of Sommerhausen. Winterhausen is directly opposite and accessible via a bridge. There is also a small animal park in Sommerhausen, which is run by the Mainfränkische Werkstätten as part of a heart project. There is a very large playground for children here and a few native house/farm animals and wild animals can also be seen.
